As one of Kazakhstan’s 3 largest companies, Rams Global has simultaneously launched 3 projects in Turkey. The company will be working on a hotel in Bodrum, 600 homes in Fikirtepe, and a 1000-apartment complex in Bahçelievler.
Rams Global, whose foundation was laid in Gaziantep in 1988 by the businessman from Cizre, Ramazan Bülbül, has so far concentrated on engaging in operations in Kazakhstan but now has taken a decision to increase its investments in Turkey. In 2019, the company built a 400-bed hospital–the biggest in eastern Turkey–in Gaziantep, realizing its first investment in Turkey. At this junction, the company has acquired property in three different areas and has taken a decision to launch these investments. Currently working on a total of 27 project sites as one of the 3 largest companies in Kazakhstan, Rams Global will now be building a 1000-apartment project on a plot in Bahçelievler that it acquired for 1.5 billion lira. The magnitude of the project will reach 4 billion lira. OUR TARGET IS TO BE IN THE TOP FIVE The company has additionally taken on the building of two hotels in Bodrum as well as a villa project. It has also acquired a half-finished project in Fikirtepe and has started building operations there. RAMS Global CEO Faruk Bülbül revealed that their goal was to become one of the top 5 in the Turkish construction sector. Explaining that the company had so far engaged in the construction of 2.5 million square meters of property in Kazakhstan, Bülbül said, “On May 6, we will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Rams Kazakhstan. We’ll be starting off our 25th year by completing about 60 projects.”
A UNIVERSITY FOR CİZRE
Faruk Bülbül continued to say that their longing for Turkey incentivized them to make their first investment in Gaziantep but added that their projects in Bodrum would be providing employment for 1200 people. Faruk Bülbül said the company planned to build a private hospital in Izmir and an educational campus complex in Cizre that would incorporate a primary school, high school and university. Bülbül stated that they had provided jobs for 12,000 in Kazakhstan and that one thousand people were working on their projects in Turkey.
NOT “SELL AND BUILD” BUT WE’LL BUILD FIRST AND THEN SELL
Explaining that most of their projects in Turkey would be handled on a “build and sell” model, Faruk Bülbül said that they were using their own equity capital for their business. He said, “We will not be selling anything until the rough construction work has been completed. Right now in Turkey, the construction business works on a “sell and build” model.

RAMS Global Turkey CEO Devran Bülbül said that in June, they will be delivering the 700-home project that they took over during the urban renewal process in Fikirtepe’s Şerif Ali Neighborhood. He continued, “No one wanted to touch the project. Right now the 65-70-year old victims of the urban renewal project watch the construction with tears in their eyes.”
