Partner Family Social Housing Protocol” to Bring Hope to Families in Need

A “Partner Family Social Housing Protocol” has been signed between the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation operating under the Istanbul Governorship and RAMS Türkiye.

RAMS Türkiye, which carries out numerous social responsibility projects across the country, now brings hope to disadvantaged families in Istanbul. Under the RAMS Çatısı (RAMS Roof) social responsibility umbrella, the project aims to both provide permanent housing solutions for families struggling with shelter issues and strengthen the culture of social solidarity.

The social housing units, to be built on a 12,046-square-meter plot in the Arnavutköy district and planned to be completed within two years, will allow families in need to live in safe and comfortable conditions. Within the scope of the protocol overseen by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, construction of at least 167 social housing units, each averaging 90 square meters, is planned for disadvantaged families.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş said:

“We are gathered today for a highly meaningful initiative — a true reflection of social solidarity. In cooperation with our Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, and under the leadership of our Governor, RAMS Türkiye will help realize this protocol. Through this project, we will build 167 social housing units for orphans and children who have lost one parent. These children and their families will be supported under the Partner Family initiative. I would like to thank our Governor and RAMS Türkiye for their leadership and efforts in making this meaningful project a reality.”

Governor of Istanbul and President of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, Davut Gül, also stated:

“Under the instructions of our President, we had initiated a project for orphans in Istanbul. Our Minister led the effort. We started by providing rent support for orphans without a home under the Partner Family project. Following the project announcement, Mr. Devran from RAMS Türkiye contacted us and pledged to support the initiative by building housing if a suitable plot was found. Today, that promise materializes with the construction of 167 homes. Our hope is that this example spreads further and inspires other philanthropists. The state already offers substantial support for those in need, but contributions from philanthropists serve as valuable complements. I thank our Minister and our benefactor, RAMS Türkiye, for their support.”

Chairman of RAMS Türkiye, Devran Bülbül, emphasized how the project reinforces their social responsibility mission under the RAMS Çatısı initiative:

“At RAMS Türkiye, we are not only building homes but also creating projects that touch human lives. With the ‘Partner Family Social Housing Protocol,’ we are proud to offer safe homes to families and children. It is an honor to be part of this project under the leadership of our Minister and Governor.”

Construction of the social housing units is expected to begin shortly. This exemplary protocol is also anticipated to inspire similar initiatives in other cities.
